I’ve just signed on to direct Pilots at Town Stages for the month of March. For those of you familiar with Serial Killers at Sacred Fools, it’s a similar concept. Writers are given one week to write a script. We have one hour to rehearse before it goes up in front of a live audience. The audience votes. If the pilot wins it gets to continue. If not, then the writer has to come up with a new pilot for the next week. It’s gonna be a blast, and Town Stages has one of the best bars in TriBeCa! Come check us out every Wednesday in March at 7pm! Use the code “takeoff” for $10 off the March 6 performance.
I also recently had the pleasure of directing Nicole Vanessa Ortiz in her solo debut at 54 Below. Nicole and I originally met working on the revival of Smokey Joe’s Café, and I was completely blown away by her powerhouse of a voice and her sweet and genuine spirit. Nicole took us on a journey through all things diva and the evening was a blast. Check out some highlights on the MEDIA page or below.
